About the International evening
For those who are new to the event, on the night we celebrate the vastly different cultural backgrounds from which we all originate at St. Vincent’s. Different countries are represented at tables in the school hall, each sharing its culture through either food, national costume, music, dance or art – anyway you like! There is also a good selection of refreshments . It is also a great opportunity to socialise with other families from the school. We raise money through the ticket sales and the pay bar.
How you can get involved
To help us organise the event please could you discuss with your fellow countrymen/women how you would like to present your country and its culture.
Typically you can:
- Bring flags to display
- Play traditional music
- Share interesting facts about your country
- Perform a traditional dance
Most importantly – bring typical dishes from your country for all to share! Delicious!
If you would like to organise a table to represent your country with your fellow country people please let us know as soon as possible but by Wednesday 23rd January 2019 at the latest. We will have a table set aside for your country. Our email is hello@SVPA.org.uk
